Public Hearings

Our public hearings.

The Commission plans to hold public hearings across the country with the aim to gain a deeper insight into the views and aspirations of the public on the present and past reform initiatives in the education sector. The public hearings will be consultative, participatory, and all-inclusive. The Commission will:

  1. Conduct public hearings with key groups, institutions, umbrella organizations, in all regions of Uganda.
  2. Invite all stakeholders and the public to submit views and recommendations to the Commission.
  3. Use social media platforms to promote public participation in the policy review process.
  4. Convene individual stakeholder meetings.
  5. Organize Thematic Virtual Public Hearings.

Public Views Submitted So Far

To the 2021 Education Policy Reform

The Commission has received over 100 submissions of formal views, comments, and proposals from the public about Education and Sports Sector Policy Review (2021), as of mid-April 2022. Of these, 57 are individual views and 44 are organizations views. This follows a call sent out on the 31 st January 2022 by the Education Policy Review Commission requesting for submissions. These reports were received electronically and others were delivered to the Commission offices in hard copy. Public and private institutions, organizations, and individuals are encouraged to submit their views and proposal to the Commission.
